Terms
The short, honest version — there is no long version.
What the service does
scoreboard.dev turns a GitHub username into a public scoreboard page and ranks GitHub contribution calendars as their owners publish them. Private contributions count only when their owner publishes them on GitHub. Anyone can be looked up; rankings use only data GitHub already makes public.
Membership
Connecting your GitHub account verifies your identity and adds a verified check, a permanent member number, and badges. It never changes your rank — ranks are identical for members and non-members. Member numbers are first come, first numbered, and never reused: disconnecting burns yours, and reconnecting later means a new one.
Your data
What we store and what we never store is spelled out in /privacy. Disconnecting deletes your membership data on the spot.
Fair use
Abuse — scraping at hostile volume, impersonation, gaming the rankings, or anything that degrades the service for others — can get an account suspended or blocked. We'll always prefer the boring fix (a rate limit) over the dramatic one.
No affiliation, no warranty
This project is not affiliated with GitHub. The service is provided as-is: numbers come from GitHub's published data, and when data is missing we say so rather than estimate. The service may change or shut down; if it ever does, member data dies with it.
